NetworkWorld Column: Blow up your campus (network)

This week's NetworkWorld column was originally titled: "Blow up your campus (network)." But evidently the censors didn't like that one too much and renamed it to "Revamp your network security - now."

Unfortunately, the new title sucks and doesn't reflect what I'm talking about. I love when the powers that be take a snazzy, buzz friendly title and make it into something totally mediocre with my name on it. Who knows, maybe they are acting in my best interests to make sure some special agents don't show up at my house to ask me some "questions" about the recent column.

To be clear, I don't necessarily think that folks should blow up their networks now, as in RIGHT NOW. Over the next 18 months I believe that most organizations will undergo a campus network upgrade to add more security functionality (like NAC) into the campus networking fabric. Which is what I say in the column.

Here's the article, enjoy: http://www.networkworld.com/columnists/2006/050806rothman.html
